“Everything in life is vibration.” — Albert Einstein

There’s been a lot of chatter in recent years about the art of manifesting.

The best-selling book, The Secret, kicked off the modern version of woo-wooery when it was published in 2006 (Napoleon Hill actually wrote about it first in 1937).

The authors touted using the law of attraction to manifest your desires by first deciding what you want, believing you can receive it, and then eliciting the emotions needed as if you already had it.

Which is all great. But there are two problems:

  1. There’s a really good reason most people don’t manifest their ultimate desires (and it’s not for a lack of wishing).
  2. You always manifest what you want, but you don’t always manifest what you ask for.

It all comes down to blockages.

Each one of us has hidden blockages that keep us from success in one or more areas of our lives. These blockages arise out of unhelpful or conflicting beliefs and attitudes that produce results we don’t always like.

For example, you may be trying to manifest the love of your life, but if you believe love only leads to pain because you’ve been burned in the past, your subconscious will choose safety and comfort over love. Therefore, you’ll continue to create what you want – safety and comfort – even if it means remaining lonely.

You may want to be wealthy, but if you hold a belief that wealthy people are entitled jerks, your subconscious might block your ability to create that wealth. The result is continuing to struggle to get ahead.

That brings us to the fundamental premise of manifestation:

Your subconscious needs will always come first.

In other words, you will always manifest what you want on the inside before you get what you desire on the outside.

So, if you’re trying to manifest something in your life, and it isn’t working, it’s more than likely your subconscious is blocking you.

The solution? Alter your frequency.

Gap Insight: Every cell in our bodies emits an electromagnetic frequency. The heart emits the largest frequency that extends far outside the body.

You Are Your Own Personal Radio Station

You are like a radio tuned into a specific station.

We can call that station “your current level of success.” It plays a certain type of music – the music of everything in your life right now. That includes all the good, the bad, and the really ugly (thank you, Clint).

To change what you have in your life, including your relationships, wealth, health, friends and amount of success in anything, you need to change the station. That means changing the dial on your radio (you) to tune into a different frequency. That way, you can tune into a better station.

But you’re not just dialed in to certain frequencies; you’re also broadcasting one out to the world.

A radio transmitter broadcasts electromagnetic waves at the speed of light. A radio receiver turns those waves into information you can hear – voices, songs, instruments.

You are both. You’re a super-radio that transmits electromagnetic energy to the world while simultaneously receiving it from everywhere in every direction. All at the speed of light.

This isn’t theory or metaphysical mumbo jumbo; it’s proven physics scientists have been aware of for over a century.

That’s just the beginning.

The frequency at which that energy is vibrating and specifically, what you resonate with, determines everything in your life. That includes your levels of happiness, your health, the amount of love in your life, and even your levels of success and failure.

Gap Insight: Resonance is one of the most important scientific principles that not only shapes us and our lives, it shapes the entire universe.

The Law of Resonance

Physics has a governing law for how electromagnetic systems interact:

Like frequencies resonate. Unlike frequencies don’t.

When two systems share a frequency, they synchronize, exchange energy, and enter resonance. When they don’t share a frequency, they pass each other without meaningful interaction.

Think of the people you interact with every day. You’re immediately drawn to some, while you pass by others without a single thought. You call it chemistry, but it’s actually resonance – it’s there or it isn’t.

To illustrate this further, think of a guitar string.

A guitar string vibrating at 440 Hz will cause another string tuned to 440 Hz across the room to begin vibrating, without being touched, while every other string remains silent.

We, as biological beings are the exact same. Every cell and every organ in your body is vibrating constantly at a certain frequency. Your emotional state, beliefs, and dominant expectations impact that frequency.

So, the question is, what frequency are you on, and what are you attracting?

Gap Insight: Through the law of resonance, your vibration – not what you desire to manifest – is what attracts or repels certain people, certain events in your life, and even success or failure.

How to Change and Expand Your Resonance

1. Decrease your stress levels.

Your nervous system is one big tuning fork. When it’s tuned into high stress mode, you’ll attract more stress while broadcasting it out to everyone around you.

To change the station, take ten to twenty deep breaths with an extended exhale at the end. Extended exhale breathing — 4 counts in, 8 counts out — shifts the nervous system from sympathetic stress response to parasympathetic coherence within minutes.

Do this before getting out of bed, heading to work, or anytime you are feeling stressed.

2. Generate genuine, uplifting emotion.

As you’re taking your deep, intentional breaths, recall something you feel genuinely grateful for and hold that feeling until it becomes real in your body. Imagine you hold that gratitude in your heart and you’re breathing into it.

This is the HeartMath Quick Coherence Technique. It shifts your heart’s electromagnetic field measurably within 60-90 seconds. The operative word is genuine. Your vibration reflects what you actually feel, not what you perform or wish to feel.

This is why we take 60 seconds after every Sunday Stretch to feel an uplifting emotion. It changes you immediately.

3. Move your body intentionally.

Physical movement, particularly deliberate full-body movement, stretching, and alignment work, restores vagal tone and shifts the body toward electromagnetic coherence.

The vagus nerve connects the gut, heart, and brain and is activated by movement. Vagal activation is one of the most direct pathways to coherence available to you. Your body is the antenna. Its condition determines the quality of your signal.

4. Curate your electromagnetic environment.

The people you spend the most time with are continuously transmitting their dominant electromagnetic signatures into your field. Your nervous system responds — whether you are consciously aware of it or not. This is why certain people leave you energized and others deplete you. Your frequency will automatically raise or lower in accordance with theirs.

5. Examine your beliefs.

Surface-level positive thinking doesn’t change deep electromagnetic patterns. Changing deeply held beliefs does. When you’re feeling stuck, examine what you really believe about your health, wealth, work, family, or whatever it is you’re trying to improve.

Changing a belief can change everything. It’s like dropping a rock in a pond. It creates ripples that impact even the outermost areas of the shore.

Final Thoughts

Through electromagnetism, you’re always broadcasting a signal.

That signal carries a frequency that resonates with other like frequencies, thereby attracting everything you have in your life.

The question is…

Is your signal shaped by old fears, past pain, unhelpful conditioning, and inherited, subconscious beliefs?

Or is it purposely curated by choosing your beliefs consciously, and by creating genuine, uplifting emotion?

When you change your beliefs and emotions, you change your frequency. When you change your frequency, you lift your resonance. By changing your resonance, you change what you attract, perceive, and create.

Your subconscious will always manifest what it wants. Your job is to work with it to consciously shape what YOU want.

That’s how you begin to close the gap – one belief and one emotion at a time.

Yours in health and resonance,

David
